With Factoetum it is easy to keep track of items that are your Favorites or the Favorites of members that you are following.
When you "Star" an item it is added to a Favorite list with the title of the category that the item belongs to.
For Example: When searching for "Musical Artist" you add "Bob Dylan" to your Favorite "Musical Artist" list by clicking the grey star next to "Bob Dylan".
After you have clicked the star it will change from grey to yellow.
To follow a member you also add the member to your Favorite list by clicking on the star next to their member name.
In Factoetum the Stars are color coded.
- Grey = Not yet favored
- Yellow = Favored only by you
- Green= Favored by one of the members that you are following
- Organe= Favored by more than one member that you are following
When doing a search with Factoetum any items that have been favorited by you or members you follow will show up in the search results with easy to see color coded stars beside them.
For Example: If you are searching for "Musical Artist" you may see that in the results "Bob Dylan" has an orange star. If you hover over the orang star you will receive a small window that shows you which members that you follow have added "Bob Dylan" as a favorite "Musical Artist".
Factoetum's Color Coded stars also help you to investigate and un earth items that wold not normally be easily seen in search results.
