With Factoetum you can easily share and keep track of your iTunes library online.
Once you import your iTunes library file into Factoetum, all of the: music, films and television shows that you have rated are added to your Factoetum favorites list.
Members that follow one another have the ability to see what iTunes favorites they have in common with other members.
When searching Factoetum for: music, films and television shows, the results will indicate your favorites as well as those of members that you are following.
To import your iTunes library into Factoetum you will need to
- Open iTunes
- Go to the "File" menu
- Choose -> Library ->Export Library
- You will be prompted to save the "Library.xml" to a location. It is easier to find if you save it to your "Desktop".
- After you have exported your "Library.xml" to your desktop you will need to click on the "Import your iTunes library" Facteotum menu option.
- You will be taken to your settings page where you will need to choose and import the "Library.xml" file that you saved in step 4.
- One you have imported your file you will need to leave the settings page open until your file has been completely imported.
